CMC Writes to Parliament, to Issue Decision Treating Debts of Media Institutes, evaluating their role in defeating terrorism , Supporting National Issues
CMC Board of Commissioners Council along with the Executive Administration discussed the Financial Department report pertaining arrangement of the annual budget of 2019 which requires covering the size of projects related to organizing and developing Media and Communications sectors in accordance to CMC authorities.
Board of Commissioners Council considered deeply the treatment of the debts owed by media for many years. Due to durations expiry given be CMC for settlement and treatment of these debts, the Board commissioners council unanimously decided addressing parliament management to issue legislative decision for treating such dept which have laid financial burdens on media, and to enable media performing technically and professionally. Particularly, media had played an active role in backing up Iraqi battle against terrorism and supporting national issues.
It is worth mentioning that CMC has already taken a decision to extend settlement periods of such debts for five years that have already expired earlier in this year. CMC demands final solution.
