The World Bank expresses its admiration for Du3m 2025 initiative objectives and shows its readiness to support CMC projects
The World Bank expressed its admiration for Du3m 2025 initiative strategy that contained goals and programs for developing ICT sector in Iraq. That occurred during visit of bank delegation to CMC headquarters.
Dr. Ali Nasser Alkhwaildi – CMC Chief Executive officer received World Bank delegation and discussed the bank’s role in supporting the plans of CMC and Iraq for achieving human progress, sustainable economical growth, and reconstruction especially in communications and informatics sector.
Cooperation possibility in all fields between CMC and the World Bank plus exchanging expertise and information were discussed, in addition to hold development and training workshops, aiding and supporting CMC communications and informatics projects in Iraq.
Dr. Ali Nasser Al-Khuwaildi requested the World Bank to increase its back up to Iraq and taking a greater role by helping the country in reconstruction, in addition to sponsor CMC projects and supporting investment opportunities in media, communications and informatics sectors.
The delegation expressed the readiness of the World Bank to back up projects execution which included in Du3m 2025 initiative that was launched earlier in this year by CMC, besides the thorough servicing projects, and all other projects that CMC seeks to achieve sustainable development.
It’s worth mentioning that the World Bank has 189 member states, including Iraq, joined in 1945.
